Aside from my upcoming electric TRIO, I am also performing with a smaller duo version. We try to realize "Progressive Dub Rock" in a strictly acoustic setting, combining sophisticated compositions, innovative playing techniques and philosophical political lyrics.

At our concerts we present songs from my debut album ON TOP OF A BRIDGE and other compositions of mine. Our repertoire also contains some of my favourite cover tunes written by idols such as David Bowie, Bob Marley, or the Dave Matthews Band.

Our music is based on the fusion between oldschool progressive pop rock in the tradition of Pink Floyd and David Bowie on the one hand, and gentle reggae rhythms and atmospheric dub sounds on the other. Furthermore, we also incorporate elements from world music, electro-pop, funk, and classical music. My compositions are built around fine-tuned and detailed arrangements, slow but energetic grooves, interesting harmonies and sound effects, and memorable melodies. I approach pop songwriting in a somewhat unusual, almost classical-romantic way - I take time to create my music, playing with long expressive arcs, over-arching themes and extreme contrasts.

My lyrics tend to be rather honest and confronting. They deal with the personal and political depths of mankind and the search for new perspectives. They often contrast between dire visions and hope, between social criticism and intimate self-reflection, between melancholy and the will to fight back. I try to deal with difficult and unpleasant topics without becoming one-dimensional or moralizing. 

My versatile and groove-oriented way of playing my custom made 5-string cello, my expressive singing and the darbuka rhythms and vocal harmonies provided by David Rittel create an unusual sound for an acoustic duo. Sometimes enriched by theatrical elements and provocative political statements, I strive to make every P.R. concert a uniquely moving experience
